ABOUT THE CATSHILL DANCE CENTRE

Opening in 1971, the Catshill Dance Centre is a full-time Dance School and is owned by Don and Carol Hopper.

Don is a full Examiner in the I.D.T.A. and has over 50 years experience in dance, firstly as a Ballroom Competitor and then a Dance Teacher.

Now semi-retired the Dance Centre is run by Diane Edwards, also a full I.D.T.A. Examiner, having been trained by Don from a raw beginner to where she is now, an Examiner in all branches for the past 14 years.

We offer training in all branches, including:

  • Salsa
  • Old Time & Modern Sequence
  • Freestyle & Streetdance
  • Rock & Roll
  • Belly Dancing
  • Argentine Tango
  • Musical Theatre

Our youngest pupil is 3 yrs. old and our most mature pupil will be 86 years old next birthday.

We can offer all levels of training for children and adults. Whether it be for pure Beginners or Social Dancing to Medal Work if required.

Perhaps you may wish to improve your own dancing, working on your style and hold etc. Groups Private Lessons are available if you and your friends would like learn altogether.

Also, Professional training for new Teachers or already qualified Teachers who would like to gain further qualifications in all branches.
